My Schengen visa was approved but my UAE residence visa will be canceled before my travel date (mid-August). I am a Philippine passport holder. I currently work (until the end of July) and reside in Dubai, UAE.

Will I still be able to travel to Europe?

Traveling to Europe is not your problem. It's more from where. Since you'll have to leave the UAE before you can go to Europe, you'll have to find a place to wait in between.

  • Why would I need a place to wait in between? In UAE, after the visa cancelation, expats get a 30-day grace period. So I can still stay in UAE while waiting for my travel date. My concern is if I'll be able to travel to Europe if my visa in UAE is canceled.

  • @AnxiousTraveler Where are you planning on going back to after your Schengen trip?

  • Does the 30 day grace period allow you to leave and return, or are you just allowed 30 days before you lave?
